of Products/Services:
Debit Card: A debit card issued by a bank which
allows bank clients access to their account to withdraw cash or pay for goods
and services. At first F.I. order certain number of fresh card as per
requirements via SCT. Those fresh cards should be sent as per customer request
to SCT. SCT will personalize those fresh cards and make it SCT debit
card. Those finished SCT debit card will again sent to F.I.
Pin mailer: With personalize cards there is pin
code provided to customers. Incase customer forget his/her previous pin mailer
Repin will generated.
Card
Management Software: For the convenient of member, SCT has offered a Card
Management Software which is used by member banks to view card transaction and
update the card status. Also it has various features that are useful and
related to card transactions.
ATM/POS Networking: ATM is computerized machine that
permits bank customers to gain access to their accounts with a magnetically
encoded plastic card and a code number. ATM connected in SCT network enables
the customers to perform several banking operations without the help of a
teller, such as to withdraw cash, obtain bank statements, and cash transfers
(on testing phase). A point of sale/service (POS) machine is used to conduct
retail transactions. SCT user can pay their shopping amount through POS
transaction.
POS Cash Advanced: This is pos sale cash advance

SCT nPay allows merchants/sellers to accept online payment for their services through SCT cards. After signing a Merchant Agreement with nPay, merchant will need to integrate their website with nPay's gateway. After merchant customers’ checkout from the website, they enter Card Number and PIN on nPay secure payment page. When the payment is completed, npay will send an email notification to the registered email address.
SCT nPay accepts only SCT cards. It supports only Nepalese Rupees (NRs). This is the age of modern payment technology. Various traditional payment options seem to be expensive, slower and unsafe to carry. So, to overcome such problems SCT has implemented Nepal’s first payment network.
Currently, there are more than 82 Financial Institutions which are connected in its network. It has offered its services not only within Nepal but also in Bhutan as well. SCT users also can withdraw amount from India through specified bank ATMs. Various services like debit card, eCommerce (Utility payment), ATM/POS network, POS cash advanced are currently running through SCT and research and testing is going on other advanced technology like IBFT (Inter bank fund transfer). In Nepalese Market there only 100-150 POS Machine (acquired by Himalayan, Nabil & Greenlays and Alpine) and 4 ATM (Acquired by Himalayan Bank).
After SCT was established on 2001:
When SCT was entered in the Nepali market there weren't any National payment switch in Nepalese market. हामीहरुले आज भोली बिभिन्न पत्र पत्रीकामा धेरै बैंकहरुको सुबिधा बारेमा ठुलठुला बिज्ञापन पढेका सुनेका छौ । अनेक सुबिधामध्य डेबिट कार्डको सुबिधा पनि एक अनिवार्य सुबिधाको रुपमा बनेको छ । धेरै जस्तो ग्राहकहरु यस्तो सुबिधा प्रयोग बारे अनबिज्ञ भए पनि बैंकमा खाता खोल्ने बित्तिकै डेबिट कार्ड लिन आतुर भएको पाइन्छ तर यस बारेमा राम्ररी बुझ्न केहि समय खर्चिएको पाइदैन जसका कारण डेबिट कार्ड र पिन मेलर हराउने वा पिन कोड अरुलाई सहजै भन्ने गर्दा डेबिट कार्डबाट रकम चोरिको घटनामा बृद्धि हुने गरेको छ । बिज्ञान जान्नेलाई बरदान हो भने नजान्नेलाई अभिषाप पनि हुन सक्तछ । तसर्थ नयाँ प्रबिधिको प्रयोग पूर्व यस बारे सकेको कुरा जान्नु जरुरी हुन्छ ।
डेबिट कार्ड भनेको के हो ?
डेबिट कार्ड भन्नाले यस्तो प्लास्टिक वा चिप कार्ड हो जसलाई एटिएम वा पस मसिनमा प्रयोग गर्नसाथ सम्बन्धित व्यक्तिको बैंकको खाताबाट रकम घट्छ र तेती नै रकम एटिएम बाट बहिर निस्कन्छ अथवा पस मसिनबाट समान किनेको मुल्य तिर्न सकिन्छ । यस्ता कार्डहरु पिन बेस वा हस्ताक्षर बेस हुन्छन् जस मध्य हस्ताक्षर बेस कार्ड धेरै सुरक्षित मनिन्छन् किन भने हस्ताक्षर बेस कार्ड प्रयोग गर्दा उक्त हस्ताक्षर भेरीफाई गर्ने व्यक्ती बैंकमा भएका जस्तो भेरीफाई गर्नमा पोख्त हुँदैनन् र यदी यस्तो कार्ड हरायो भने त्यो कार्डबाट अन्य व्यक्तिले पनि त्यो कार्डबाट आफुले किनेको समानको भुक्तनी गर्न सक्छ । पिन बेस कार्डहरुमा आजभोलि आफ्नो पहिलो प्रयोगमा पिन कोड फेर्नु पर्ने अनिवार्यता भएको हुनाले यस्तो कार्ड अझै धेरै सुरक्षित भएको छ । डेबिट कार्डको अग्रीम भागमा उक्त कार्ड प्रयोग कर्ताको नाम, कार्ड नम्बर, समाप्त हुने मिती लेखेको हुन्छ जुन कुरा सबैले सहजै पढ्न सक्छन् तर कार्डको पछाडिको कालो भागमा भएको सुरक्षित डाटाहरु एटिएम मसिन , पस मसिन वा अन्य उपकरणहरुले मात्र पढ्न सक्छ ।
पिन कोड भनेको के हो ?पिन कोड भन्नाले डेबिट कार्ड प्रयोग कर्ताले एटिएम,पस मसिन्(पिन इनेबल भएको) वा अन्य पेमेन्ट टेक्नोलोजिमा डेबिट कार्ड प्रयोग गर्दा प्रयोग कर्ता भेरीफाई गर्ने चार अंकको कोड हो जसलाई सिक्युरिटी मसिनले बनाएर पिन मेलेरमा प्रीन्ट गरेको हुन्छ । यस्तो कोड पाउने बित्तिकै फेर्नु जरुरी मनिन्छ जसले कार्डलाई अझ बढी सुरक्षित बनाउन सहयोग गर्दछ । पिन कोडलाई कसैलाई पनि भन्नु उपयुक्त मनिदैन ।
पिन कोड फेर्ने तरिका:
१) सर्वप्रथम आफुले प्रयोग गर्ने कार्ड कुन एटिएम मा प्रयोग गर्दा पिन कोड फेर्न सकिन्छ तेस बारे जानकारी लिने र सोही एटिएम मा जाने ।
२) कार्ड एटिएम मसिनमा छिराउने र चार अंकको पिन कोड थिच्ने ।
३) पिन कोड सही भएमा धेरै बिकल्प आउछ जसमध्य पिन कोड परिवर्तन गर्ने बिकल्प रोज्ने ।
४) पिन कोड परिवर्तन गर्ने बिकल्प रोजे पछी नयाँ चार अंकको पिन कोड थिच्ने र फेरी पहिले थिचेको चार अंकको पिन कोड थिच्नुपर्छ । यदी हामीले थिचेको पिन कोड सही भएमा पिन कोड परिवर्तन सफलतापुर्वक भयो भन्ने सन्देश आउछ नत्र त्रुटी भएको सन्देश दिन्छ र सबै प्रकृया पुन गर्नुपर्छ ।
डेबिट कार्डलाई एटिएम मसिनमा चलाउने तरिका :
१) सर्वप्रथम आफुले प्रयोग गर्ने कार्ड कुन एटिएम मा प्रयोग गर्दा पिन कोड फेर्न सकिन्छ तेस बारे जानकारी लिने र सोही एटिएम मा जाने ।
२) कार्ड एटिएम मसिनमा छिराउने र चार अंकको पिन कोड थिच्ने ।
३) पिन कोड सही भएमा धेरै बिकल्प आउछ जसमध्य Cash withdraw/Fash Cash बिकल्प रोज्ने ।
४) Cash Withdraw विकल्पमा चहिएको रकम टाईप गर्नुपर्छ तर Fast Cash विकल्पमा स्क्रीनमा देखाएको रकम मध्य चहिएको रकम छाने पुग्छ ।
५) यदी हामीले थिचेको पिन कोड सही भएमा, हाम्रो बैंकको खातामा प्रयाप्त रकम भएमा तथा एटिएम, पेमेन्ट switch र बैंक Host मा कुनै समस्या नभए सफलतापुर्वक रकम प्राप्त हुन्छ नत्र त्रुटी भएको सन्देश दिन्छ र सबै प्रकृया पुन गर्नुपर्छ ।

नेपालमा प्राय धेरै अनलाईन सेवा दिने संस्थानहरु प्रख्यात छन् जसमध्य eSewa अनलाईन प्रीपेड सर्विस हो भने SCT- MoCo र SCT- nPay अनलाईन पेमेन्ट गेट्वे हो । MoCo र nPay बाट अनलाईन पेमेन्ट गर्दा पिन कोड किबोर्डको सहायताले इन्टर गर्नुपर्छ र यो Two Factor Authentication Device हो जुन अन्त-राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा प्रणली स्तरको मानिन्छ ।

a joint endeavor of financial institutions to have a single platform to fulfill the entire electronic payment needs of the institutions, has now launched its SmartVista Solution.
NEPS has partnered with BPC Banking Technologies (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd., Singapore for the installation of their SmartVista Suite of solutions as the core software to provide solution to its member. The solution encompasses Debit Card, Credit Card, Pre-paid Card, Lifecycle Management System, Merchant Management System, ATM Management System, Cellular and Internet Banking Interface, Fraud Management, Loyalty Program Management and Payment Processing and Switching System as well as various other solutions for electronic payment needs of the banks in EMV environment.
The solution provided by NEPS is hosted in a multi-institution environment and has the capability to service the entire financial institutions of Nepal. Currently four banks; Sunrise Bank Limited, Janata Bank Limited, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited and Citizens Bank International Limited are already processing their card transactions through NEPS and remaining member banks will be migrated to the NEPS system within three months. Other interested organizations are welcomed to Join NEPS and be integrated the system as per their schedule and requirements.
